As Plymouth's own A Janner's Art, I am dedicated to telling the story of my city through my artwork. My Artistic Journey
I am an artist who was born in the city of Plymouth, and I have a passion for expressing myself through various mediums such as painting, drawing, and printmaking. My art is characterized by its ability to tell stories and convey emotions, and I draw heavily on my own memories and experiences to create pieces that are both personal and relatable. When it comes to printmaking, I am particularly interested in using shaped lines and gestures to communicate intense emotions such as tragedy, trauma, and other powerful feelings.

Artist Statement
As an artist, I find inspiration in the intimate narratives of people's memories, the raw display of emotions, and the distinctive charm of my hometown, Plymouth. My creative process is centred around working in series, weaving together narratives that reflect the essence of human experiences.
Printmaking in black and white serves as my preferred medium, as it allows me to capture an honest and unfiltered portrayal of my subjects. The stark contrast emphasises the depth of emotions and the authenticity of each moment captured on paper. Through this medium, I aim to evoke a sense of nostalgia and provoke contemplation about the passage of time and the intricacies of memory.
In addition to printmaking, I also explore the expressive possibilities of acrylic painting and drawing. These mediums grant me the flexibility to experiment with texture, colour, and form, further enriching the narratives I aim to convey. Whether through the bold strokes of acrylics or the delicate lines of drawing, I strive to encapsulate the essence of storytelling and evoke a profound connection with my audience.
